Standard of pressure treatment at Murthly Sawmill


Osmose Naturewood consists of wood pressure treated with a copper and organic biocide as recommended.


Murthly Sawmill operates to User Class 4 (UC4). Standard BS8417 (2003) applies.


User Class 4 states that timber use is “In contact with ground or fresh water. Permanently exposed to wetting.” From the table in the link and this description it is clear that this is the highest rating with an expected life of 15-30 years.
